Rush
Week [Fall/Winter/Spring]
This
is a time for those individuals interested in joining Sigma Chi Omega,
Inc. can find out more about our brotherhood. Events during this period
include informational sessions, open house, social/athletic events and
BBQs. All events during this week are free, and participation does not
commit any individual to anything.
Multicultural
Show [Winter]
This
is an annual philanthropy event hosted by the distinguished brothers of
Sigma Chi Omega, Inc. and sponsored by various campus
organizations/departments. The multicultural show is aimed at attracting
UCSB students & the
Santa Barbara
to enjoy a night full of performances by the many cultures that grace
our campus.
Community
Service
Throughout
the year the brothers of Sigma Chi Omega, Inc. participate in various
community service projects. Some of our past projects have been Isla
Vista street & beach clean ups, Project Santa at IV Elementary
School and tutoring at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara.
Mardi
Gras & Luau
Our
two big parties of the year are our Mardi Gras & Luau celebrations.
This is a time for the brothers to chill and enjoy the social atmosphere
Isla Vista
has to offer.
Spring
Jam [Spring]
This
is an annual 3x3 basketball tournament hosted by the distinguished
brothers of Sigma Chi Omega, Inc. It is here that we exercise our pillar
of the body and invoke others in the community to do the same. Thanks to
our various sponsors the day is full of fun and ends with a prize
ceremony for the top teams.
